Subaru Motorsports USA
Subaru Motorsports USA is the competition arm of Subaru, with a mission of testing and proving the capabilities of Subaru vehicles in stage rally, rallycross, record attempts and beyond. Vermont SportsCar is the motorsports technical partner of Subaru of America, fabricating and prepping rally and rallycross vehicles and managing their team sponsors and athletes.

Today, that dedication to fit and finish continues as we take on a limited number of private clients looking to restore their most special vehicles. In 2009, Travis Pastrana and co-driver Christian Edström earned P1 at Oregon Trail Rally, winning the rally by nearly one minute.
This year, the Oregon Trail Rally takes place May 16-18, starting in Portland on Friday and winding through the Columbia River Gorge on Saturday and Sunday.

Project Midnight is a 670-horsepower evolution of the WRX, purpose-built by Subaru Motorsports USA and Vermont SportsCar. Stripped down and dialed in, this lightweight, all-wheel-drive machine pushes the limits of speed and control. Featuring ultra-wide aerodynamic bodywork, a carbon fiber body, and a significantly lightened chassis, it boasts a curb weight of well under 2,500 pounds—nearly 300 pounds lighter than its predecessor, the Airslayer, and 1,000 pounds lighter than a standard WRX . Under the hood, a turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter flat-four engine produces 670 hp and 680 lb-ft of torque, revving to 9,500 rpm and spitting flames from its hood-exit exhaust.

Conner Martell set the unofficial fastest time ever at the fifth annual Pine Mountain HillClimb, piloting an FC1-X EV Rallycross car. The event, held April 25-27, featured a 2-mile, all-tarmac course winding through Kentucky’s Pine Mountain State Park that made for exciting spectating and even more thrilling driving.
